Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen, as well as the administrative headquaters of the Royal Household. It is one of the few working Royal Palaces remaining in the world today.
Today the State Rooms are used extensively by the Queen and members of the Royal Family to receive and entertain their guests on state, ceremonial and official occasions.
Highlights Garden Tour - The tour includes the beautiful Herbaceous Border, the wisteria-clad summer house and Rose Garden, the enormous Waterloo Vase and the Palace tennis court, where King George VI and Fred Perry played in the 1930s. The 39-acre garden is now the setting for the Queen's Garden Parties. Described as a walled oasis in the middle of London, it boasts more than 350 types of wild flower, over 200 trees and a three acre lake.
