Eden Project

Picking Up From: Taunton, Wellington.

THE EDEN PROJECT is a gigantic garden designed to tell the fascinating story of man's relationship with, and dependance upon plants. Set in a breathtaking 35 acre crater overlooking St Austell Bay.

The awesome geodesic structures - the world's largest greenhouses, accomodate a fascinating array of plants from all over the world. Three of the worlds climate zones have been chosen for interpretation; The Humid Tropics Biome contains plants from the rainforests and Oceania whilst the Warm Temperate Biome contains plants, fruit and flowers from the Mediterranean, South Africa and California. OUtside, sunflowers, lavender and hemp grow alongside each other under the warm Cornish sun.
