Private Charter

I only want to hire a single coach is that okay?

Yes that is fine. You can hire a coach for anything from a group of school children to the local swimming pool or an extended European sightseeing tour; no requirement is too big or too small.

I need to hire multiple vehicles, can you handle this?

Certainly we can; we can arrange any number of coaches from one to several locations to your desired destination.

What facilities are available onboard?

Facilities available on the 16 seater minibuses include luxury leather reclining seats and air conditioning. Standard coaches have up to 53 reclining seats with air jet ventilation, curtains or blinds, PA system, reading lights, Courier seat, air suspension, seat belts and air conditioning on request. Executive coach facilities include full air conditioning, W.C. washroom, drinks facilities, curtains or blinds, individual reading lights. Courier seat, double glazing, reclining seats, air suspension – hot and cold drinks are available on request. Optional facilities available include DVD, refrigerator, tables, Courier/Hostess service and wheelchair space.

We are going on a tour and require hotels and ferry reservations. Can you help with this?

Yes. Berrys Coaches are able to make reservations on either ferries or the shuttle, often at advantageous group rates and also locate and reserve hotels throughout the UK and Europe. In addition we can book theatre tickets, boat excursions and provide holiday insurance ect.

How do I obtain a quotation?

Simply complete our online enquiry form or telephone 01823 331356 where details of your requirements will be taken. We will then call, write or e-mail with your quotation.

What size of coaches do you operate?

We operate standard, executive and corporate coaches and minibuses in a variety of sizes from 16 seater executive minibuses, single deck coaches with 32-53 seats and double decks with 71-77 seats, as well as buses with 40-78 seats for local work.

Can your vehicles accommodate wheelchair users?

Yes. Many of our vehicles offer wheelchair access and restraints, from our 40 seat busses to our large double decker coaches. Let us know your requirements when you enquire and we will quote for a suitable vehicle.

Where do you depart from in the West Country and how many services a day are there?

Our services operate as follows: SUPERFAST 1- Twice daily plus a Friday evening service from Tiverton, Wellington, Taunton, North Petherton and Bridgwater. SUPERFAST 2 - Twice daily fromTaunton, Ilminster, South Petherton, Yeovil, Ilchester, Royal Naval Air Station and Wincanton SUPERFAST 3 - daily plus an extra Sunday afternoon service from Taunton, Street, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet, Frome, Warminster and Codford Village

How can I make my reservation?

Where is your London arrival/departure point?

Hammersmith Bus Station Bay D. In addition to bus connections there is access to the underground network on the District, Piccadilly and Hammersmith and city tube lines.

What facilities are on the coaches?

  • Reclining armchair seats with extra legroom.
  • On board toilet and washroom facilities
  • Air conditioning for those hot sunny journeys
  • Host/Hostess service providing hot/cold drinks and refreshments.
  • Free WIFI on most coaches

Can I choose where I sit on the coach?

A specifically reserved seat number is allocated when booking at no extra cost. When booking by telephone or through an agent you may, subject to availability, choose specific seats around tables, upper deck or lower deck etc., as suits your preference. However, if you make an internet booking seats are automatically allocated, although these can be changed where possible if you contact the office.

What seats are Premium seats?

Front seats (1-4) and table seats.

Are there any concessions?

Reductions are available for children, Senior Citizens and Young People.

What is a Young Person's Discount Card?

This card costs £5 and applies to ages 16-21 and allows travel at standard Senior Citizen fares. To obtain a form please contact the office. To qualify for discount the card number must be quoted when making a reservation.

What ages are child fares are applicable for?

3 years to 15 years inclusive.

Can children travel unaccompanied?

Children under 12 years of age cannot travel unless accompanied by an adult. The company cannot accept any responsibility for the supervision of passengers aged 12 to 16 years travelling unaccompanied, although Hosts/Hostesses will endeavour to ensure their wellbeing. It is the responsibility of the child’s parent or guardian to ensure that the child is seen on to the coach and is met at his/her destination, and the Company cannot accept responsibility for the failure to do so. An unaccompanied child form must be filled out for any child travelling alone, this can be found in the downloadable forms section.

How long are Open Return tickets valid?

6 months from the date of the outward journey and return journey details must be notified to Head Office at least 24 hours in advance; early reservation is advised although availability of seats cannot be guaranteed. Once return journey details have been notified to our office the ticket is not transferable or valid for any other journey nor are refunds available on unused portions. Open return tickets or the second/return portions cannot be booked on-line; these must be reserved through our office.

What restrictions are there on luggage?

Each passenger is permitted one medium sized suitcase (maximum 20kgs per case) plus one piece of hand luggage per person. For health & safety reasons passengers will be asked to load/unload luggage themselves which, in the driver’s opinion, is excessively heavy.

Are there any restrictions to using a mobile phone on the coach?

For the comfort of other passengers the use of mobile phones should only be for essential calls and it is requested that conversations are kept to a minimum.

Is there wifi on the coaches?

Currently most of our London Vehicles including all double decked vehicles are equipped with free access to Wifi, although operational requirements will mean occasionally we have to use a vehicle without Wifi.

Can I take a cat or dog onto the coach?

Regrettably for the comfort of other passengers we are unable to allow animals and pets on our coaches, except guide dogs for the blind, passengers should advise the office when booking.

How do I pay?

When booking by telephone payment can be made by debit/credit card or, alternatively, payment can be made on the coach by cash or cheque for which tickets will be provided by the Hostess/Host. A credit/debit card payment is required when booking for internet reservations.

Can you take a car into Hammersmith Bus Station to drop passengers?

Cars are strictly not permitted

Is there any left luggage facilities at Hammersmith Bus Station?

Regrettably this facility is no longer available at Hammersmith bus Station due to security and safety issues.

Will the coach wait if I am five minutes late?

Unfortunately, no, due to allocated time slots in the Bus Station.

Daytour Excursions

Do you depart from my local area?

Yes - Berrys Daytours operate from Wellington, Taunton (choice of departure points), North Petherton and Bridgwater. Please telephone our office on 01823 331356 to request a copy of our current Daytour Programme or details are on our website.

What type of excursions are available?

Customers can choose from a wide range of city shoppers such as Bristol or Bath, Cardiff, Swindon or Oxford, Exeter or Plymouth. Theatre excursions to Bristol, Cardiff, Plymouth or London, scenic tours or visits to special events. In addition, excursions also operate to well known attractions such as the London Eye, Alton Towers, Legoland, Eden Project and Buckingham Palace to name but a few! Our Daytour Excursion Programme is produced quarterly and what ever your interest there is sure to be a great day out for you at supervalue fares!

How do I pay?

When booking by telephone, payment can be made by debit/credit card or, alternatively, payment can be made on the coach by cash or cheque for which tickets will be provided by the Hostess/Host. A credit/debit card payment is required when booking online.

Can my friend get on at a different departure point

Yes - When you telephone to make the reservation you will be asked how many places you wish to book and where you wish to depart from.

Do I have my own specifically reserved seat?

Yes - When booking with Berrys Coaches you and your travelling companions are allocated your own specific seats together. When booking by telephone, in the office or through an agent you may choose specific seats, subject to availability. However, when booking on line you are automatically allocated your seat numbers but, subject to availability, they can be changed by contacting our Booking Office on 01823 331356

What facilities will I enjoy onboard your coach?

The majority of our daytours are operated with executive coaches which feature onboard toilet/washroom, reclining seats and air conditioning.

Is there any restriction to using a mobile phone on the coach?

For the comfort of other passengers the use of mobile phones should only be for essential calls and it is requested that conversations are kept to a minimum.
