The 3 star Bourne Hall Country House Hotel is situated a few minutes walk south of Shanklin'Old' Village. All bedrooms are ensuite and are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries and hairdryer. The hotel also has a restaurant, bar, indoor & outdoor swimming pool and leisure complex.
Day 1: We leave our home area and travel to Portsmouth for our ferry crossing, arriving at the hotel early afternoon.
Day 2: This morning we travel North to Newport - often regarded as the capital of the Isle of Wight. There are plenty of things to see and do, including the popular Tuesday market. After lunch we travel the short distance to Carisbrooke Castle to enjoy over 800 years of history. We arrive back to the hotel in time for dinner.
Day 3: Today we enjoy a tour of the island. Enroute we will stop in Alum Bay, famous for its coloured sands and home to the islands most famous landscape - The Needles. We also have a short stop in Cowes for the afternoon before ending the tour back at the hotel for dinner.
Day 4: After breakfast we head to Osborne House - Queen Victoria's palatial seaside home for over 50 years from 1845. We then travel to Ryde for a short visit before heading back to the hotel.
Day 5: We spend the morning at leisure in Shaklin today before heading to Yarmouth for our afternoon ferry crossing and back to our home area.
