Berrys Coaches General Information

All Passengers are carried in accordance with Berrys Coaches (Taunton) Limited Terms and Conditions which can be found at www.berryscoaches.co.uk/terms-conditions

The following information is set out to assist passengers but in the event of it contradicting the Terms and Conditions then the Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

Reservations can be made via our Online Booking system or by calling our Booking Office on 01823 331356. Passengers may travel on any combination of departure/return times and days at our #SuperValue fares.

* Passengers are strongly recommended to reserve their seats at least 24 hours in advance to avoid disappointment.

* On weekdays, if booking online for the following day, please ensure you book before 3pm and on weekends please book before 11am.

LONDON DEPARTURES – Bus and coach departure area is clearly marked from the Underground. All our arrivals and departures use bay D, Hammersmith Bus Station, follow signs. When duplicate coaches are operating, departure times may be staggered – please be vigilant.

CARS – are strictly not permitted into the Bus Concourse

ANIMALS & PETS – Please note, regrettably and for the comfort of other passengers, we are unable to allow animals and pets onto our coaches, except guide dogs for the blind – passengers should advise the office when booking.

UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN – The Company cannot accept any responsibility for the supervision of Passengers under the age of 16 unaccompanied, although couriers will endeavour to ensure their wellbeing. It is recommended that they carry identification and the name, address and telephone number of their parent and any person who may be meeting them. It is the responsibility of the child’s parent or guardian to ensure that the child is seen onto the coach and is met at his/her destination, and the company cannot accept responsibility for the failure to do so. Children under 12 years of age cannot travel unless accompanied by an adult.

Children under the age of 12 years old are not permitted travel alone.

DEPARTURE TIMES – Due to bus stations controls, coaches will depart promptly from Bay D, therefore passengers are advised to allow plenty of time for their journey to Hammersmith.

PLEASE NOTE – The coach will be available for loading at Hammersmith Bus Station/Centre West , Bay D approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled time of departure.

OPEN RETURN TICKETS – are valid for 6 months from the date of the outward journey and return journey details must be notified to head office at least 24 hours in advance; an early reservation is advised although the availability of seats cannot be guaranteed. Once return journey details have been notified to our office the ticket is not transferable or valid for any other journey nor are refunds available on unused portions. Open return tickets or the second/return portions cannot be booked online; these must be reserved through our office.

LUGGAGE – Berrys Coaches (Taunton) Limited accepts no liability for loss of or damage to passengers luggage or for other property howsoever caused. Luggage is carried at the owners’ risk and must be clearly labelled with name address. When handing luggage to the driver onboarding the coach in London will passengers please advise the precise destination point, particularly with regard to Taunton where there are a number of dropping points. Customers are permitted two medium-size suitcases (maximum weight 20kg per case) and one piece of hand luggage per person. For health and safety reasons passengers will be asked to load/unload luggage themselves which, in the drivers’ opinion, is excessively heavy.

Money and valuables (such as jewellery) and essential medicines should be retained on the person at all times. Full details relating to the carriage of luggage are contained in the Companys terms and Conditions.

MOBILE PHONES – For the comfort of others would passengers only use mobile phones for essential calls and keep conversations to a minimum.

REFUNDS – will only be considered if tickets are cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the date of travel. No refunds are available on half portions of tickets.

Tickets are only valid for the time and date of travel as indicated. Any changes in date or time of reservation must be notified to our office at least 24 hours prior to the date of travel, although the availability of seats cannot be guaranteed. If tickets are paid and collected onboard the coach, it is the passengers’ responsibility to check all details and notify our office of any inaccuracies or amendment required.

Although the majority of services will be operated by our double and single deck executive coaches, we reserve the right to substitute standard coaches in extreme emergencies only.

The company will endeavour to operate the services in accordance with the timetables shown but arrival times are dependant on traffic conditions and weather. No liability will be accepted for delays howsoever caused.

We would remind passengers that smoking is prohibited in all sections and please note that no hot drinks, alcohol or hot food may be taken onto the coach.

Regrettably, bicycles cannot be carried.

Berry’s Coaches (Taunton) Ltd reserve the unconditional right to refuse a booking or terminate a clients carriage and will be under no obligation for any refund, compensation or loss which may be incurred.
