Book A Coach Trip To Windsor Great Park including a visit to The Savill Garden with set lunch & River Cruise with Cream tea With Berrys Coaches
Enjoy a full day out with a visit to The Savill Garden in the morning including a set lunch, followed by river boat cruise along the River Thames, from historic Runnymede in the afternoon with a cream tea.
The Savill Garden, commissioned by George V and created by Eric Savill in 1932, is a 35-acre haven of beautifully designed interconnecting gardens and woodland. It offers inspiration and enjoyment for everyone, from dedicated horticulturists to those seeking a relaxing day out with family or friends. Generations of plant-hunters have contributed numerous specimens to the garden, nurturing a diverse array of flora from the Himalayan flowers of the Winter Beds to fragrant summer roses.
Visitors can connect with the garden’s Royal history through several notable features:
The Queen Elizabeth Temperate House, opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1995. The Golden Jubilee Garden, a modern take on the beloved cottage garden, also inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II in July 2002. The Rose Garden, with its iconic walkway that offers an immersive experience of colours and fragrances, opened by Queen Elizabeth II in July 2010.
Then river cruise….It was over 800 years ago, in 1215, that the Magna Carta was sealed by King John on the banks of the Thames at Runnymede. The site now boasts an exquisite statue of Queen Elizabeth II, as well as The Jurors sculpture, to commemorate this landmark occasion. Discover more about this historically important event, with a relaxed commentary from the team at French Brothers, as you enjoy your river trip amongst the majestic swans and a stunning view of Windsor Castle.
